The BCCI has not yet given any information as to when the T20 league will start. So, all the players will go to home. Therefore, the T20 league is not start soon. Next month, Team India is scheduled to play the final of the World Test Championship in England. After this, the team also has to play a five-match Test series in August. The Test series will begin from August 12. This protocol requires players to remain in quarantine for 14 days. In this situation, organizing the league before the Test series will be very difficult.

This decision has been taken due to increasing cases of corona virus. The decision has been taken after the board found several IPL players infected from the Corona virus. As both Indian and foreign players were considering withdrawing from it, the case continued to escalate. The IPL has been postponed for now and it will be decided later when the rest of the matches will take place.

More than 3000 people are dying every day in the country

The IPL was held in a bio-safe environment in the UAE in 2020 due to Covid-19. There were only a few cases of infection from Covid-19 before the tournament. More than three lakh cases are being reported every day in India, while more than 3000 people are dying every day.

Expected revenue of 4 thousand crores

During the league held in the United Arab Emirates last season, the Board’s Treasurer Arun Dhumal had said that the BCCI expects revenue of around Rs 4 thousand crore from the IPL. Also this year, the board will expect the same amount of revenue. But with the postponement of the league, the broadcasters, including the board, title sponsors have all suffered a lot setback. The situation of corona in the country has also worsened in the last one month.
