Diego Maradona, the Legendary Footballer dies aged 60

One of the greatest footballers of all time, Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 on Wednesday.

The Argentinian footballer faced several challenges in his life but finally achieved the greatest success by becoming the greatest footballer of all times. On Wednesday, the legendary footballer, Diego Maradona died due to heart attack. His death has plunged his sport & put Argentina into mourning. He was renowned as one of the greatest players ever to play the game. Maradona will ever be remembered for his “Hand of God” goal against England in 1986 World Cup quarter final in Mexico.
The Argentinian president, Alberto Fernandez has declared three days of national mourning. Mr. Alberto said that Maradona had taken his country to the “Highest of the World” with his outstanding performances in 1986 World Cup in Mexico. Tears started flowing from the eyes of his fans as they considered he would never die..he was a legend…he was having the hand of God. The people belonging to a city of Naples used to love him more than their own children. Recently, the operation of brain surgery was successful and Maradona had been recovering from his alcohol addiction too.

Lionel Messi, the other greatest footballer of all times said: “He leaves us but he does not leave because Diego is eternal.” After guiding Argentina to the 1990 World Cup Final, Maradona was kicked out of the tournament as he failed to pass the drugs test. He had been admitted 3 times in the hospitals in last 20 years due to serious health issues. He had captained Argentina in 1986 and gave ever known victory. In the final, he had set up the 86th-minute winner against West Germany. After the game, he had said I scored -“a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God.”
In 2000, FIFA ran through an online Player of the Century Poll, in which Maradona got 54% vote while on the other hands Pele stood at second position with 18% vote. Overall, FIFA had declared both as joint winners. Talking about his personal life, Maradona got married with his girlfriend Claudia Villafane in 1984. They had two daughters but due to issues, got divorced in 2004.

Diego Maradona will ever be remembered as the icon for all football or sports lovers. Person like him is considered as the form of God on this earth.
